End-to-end design of a Safety Management System for an engineering consultancy

An engineering consultancy required support for the end-to-end co-design and development of a Safety Management System (SMS) to support ISO 45001 certification within a short delivery window.

Bluestone HSE partnered with the business to design and implement the system from first principles, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s operational risk profile. The scope included the design of the system, working with the executive team to develop a health and safety strategic plan, objectives and targets, and a program of actions to support continuous improvement of the system over time.

The system achieved certification with no minor or major non-conformances and continued this trend in the subsequent surveillance audit conducted 12 months after the initial certification.
